My great photographer friend Peter Sutherland asked me to join his project for a web exhibition site he makes. Asked me to take photo whatever reminds people about “CAMP”. I shoot people who are camping or sleeping in public around my neighborhood. I named it “Tokyo stay” = typical Japanenglish. Showing diverse camping skills you can see on street in Tokyo. These photo were taken in Niseko, Hokkaido.

Snowboard night riding shoot.

I am riding with them and trying to capture the intensity around riders when they are carving at high speed.

It looks little bit different from the typical photos you normally see with blue sky and white powder.

This is the moment when riders are focusing on their own turns.

White snow surface and dark black night sky in Black and White photo. The gear they are wearing makes it look like they are in space or something. Kind of fantastic and wonderful I think.

ここに並ぶ写真は北海道ニセコで撮影されたものです。

普段皆様がスキー場の広告や雑誌で目にするような「青い空＆白いパウダー＝爽快感」という典型的なスキー写真とは違い、夜のナイターライド。暗く寒い中でストイックにもくもくと自分の滑りの精度を高めるライダーたちの姿を中心に今まで目にすることがなかった雪山の写真。見慣れない光景は不思議でもあり、宇宙のどこかの様。
